|Recommended: NoProperty staff is not very cooperative — My apartment had a lot of defects which I pointed out before move in but were not addressed. Now that I have moved in and created work orders, my maintenance requests have not been responded for weeks.
I don't like the staff micromanaging the residents. They shouldn't be telling residents what furniture to put on the Patio and Balcony unless it's a safety hazard.
Honestly I had heard good thing about the place but not enjoying my stay so much now.

At the moment of your move in we were short staff. We know you have noticed ever since we have a full staff your work orders requests have been done in a timely manner. As to our patios we do allow patio furniture.

|Recommended: YesDECENT PROPERTY — I can never hear my neighbors which is really nice because I like my peace and quiet.
I was told there were no roaches when I called before I moved in and there are roaches but pest control is decent about keeping up with them though I'd prefer to not have to deal with them at all I understand it can be difficult especially when some people don't maintain their apartments.
The pool is really nice and the laundry service is also very convenient I'm happy to not have to load a pay card.
The overall design of the Hawthorne is very nice.
I have noticed though that there is some sort of damage to the underside of my kitchen cabinet but it doesn't affect functionality and I wouldn't know if I hadn't have set my phone down there with the camera on one day.
They are very fast about sending out pest control as well as when I needed a maintenance service on my air conditioner.

As of the starting of this year we have a different pest control company servicing our units, we noticed we needed to make some changings.

|Recommended: NoThis place is going downhill — Grounds are not maintained trash all the place, pool is not clean or open exterior looking pretty worn.

|Recommended: YesCould use some work. — These apartments could use some work, but on the other hand it’s a good place to live, most people are friendly here and the staff is friendly and kind. I would recommend someone to live here, just have to keep working on the maintenance around here and keep building up.

Still waiting on maintenance requests from two weeks ago to be completed, so that could be better. Staff is great. A little noisy and lots of kids at some parts of the day. Overall a decent property

|Recommended: YesProperty improvements — Our property can use more employees so that way maintenance orders can be sought to or dealt with quicker. Also, it could use gates around property or some type of security.

|Recommended: YesNice little property. — I've lived at West Wind Apartments for about two months, and I must say it is definitely a cute little property and the office staff is amazing. They are so nice, and they are amazing at keeping you updated about what is going on at the property. The laundry room is next to the Leasing Office and they have multiple washers and dryers, the only downfall is you have to use a card for it instead of cash and sometimes it takes a few minutes for it to read your card. I don't hear my neighbors to often, sometimes you hear a door close but nothing major. I've lived in apartments with loud music constantly at odd hours of the night and constant yelling and screaming and West Wind is nothing like that. I would recommend friends and family to stay here, they even do door decorating contests for the holidays and I think that's pretty cool. I do wish the rooms had a light fixture in it already well mine doesn't I have a 1 bedroom apartment, maybe the larger ones do. I also only have carpet in the bedroom, with wood flooring throughout the rest of the apartment and I absolutely LOVE IT .

|Recommended: YesThe property is in a good location being outside of the city while having easy access to the major interstates that go through Fort Worth. — I have been here for a year next month, and my experience has been great. The property is quite at night which is nice since it doesn't have a security fence around the property. The location is great which allows me easy access to the two major interstates that go through the Fort Worth area. The office staff and the maintenance staff are always friendly and ready to help when there is an issue. The maintenance has always responded to every maintenance requests in a time manner.
The property is kept well maintained overall. The only drawback would be the dog poop that is visible throughout the property from dog owners not picking up after their pet. It seems like on a weekly basis I will see some when I go out.
The layout of the unit that I am in is not bad. I would like to have seen a ceiling fan in the living room and the bedroom. Without one in these locations, the area is very dark at night unless you buy your own lamp to add light to the area. Ever since I have moved in, I have been battling the smell of cigarette smoke that comes through the electrical outlets, and when I use the AC in the summer and the heater in the winter. That has been the biggest negative since my time here at West Wind Apartments.
My overall experience has been a good one. The amount that I pay for rent for my unit is very reasonable compared to some other properties in the area. West Wind really fits well with my budget, and they had the unit that I needed. This would explain why I have renewal my lease for another year.
